FFA Area Contest Results

North Sevier competed on Jan 25th  in Richfield for the area FFA contest.  Eight schools from Sanpete, Juab, Sevier and Millard Counties came and competed in the contest.  Kailey Nowell competed in the Prepared Public speaking contest and took 5th place.  Kyle Hunt took 2nd in the Extemporaneous Speaking contest.  April Crane took 3rd while Kelsey Stewart took 6th in the Creed Speakng contest, and North Sevier's Parli pro team took 3rd place.  The team consisted of Morgan Miller, Jackie Means, Cash Allred, Kyle Hunt, Nathan Hunt, and Curtis Hallows.  Morgan and Kyle met all the requirements to receive their State Degrees and Morgan is a finalist for the State Star Farmer Award.  Nathan Hunt is a candidate for the Star State Greenhand award in Production while Curtis Hallows is a candidate in Star State Greenhand placement. Also, Jaden Gurney has met the requirements to receive his American Degree.  Great job NSHS FFA!

Now that I have signed up for the "Beat the Teach" contest what do I do?  Just read and take Reading Counts quizzes and watch for your teacher's score in the library window so you can read more than they do.  On Feb 17, if you have more points than the teacher, you will win the prize!

Gunnison Dance

Saturday, Jan 28th from 8-11 PM.  The cost is $2 with two or more canned food items or $ without.

Junior Prom

Junior girls & boys, please come to the office and order and pay for your mask for Prom.  Also come pay and order your food for the dinner.  Please realize that this is a very elegant dinner so it will cost a little more than last year's junior dinner.
